SIGVARIS CHIPSLEEVE
My next spotlight garment is the Sigvaris Chipsleeve for the arm. Chipsleeve garments are an essential tool for those dealing with chronic lymphedema. Use the Sigvaris Chipsleeve as a bandage liner, making bandaging quick, easy, and effective. This is a beautiful garment in your toolbox if you have a flare-up with your lymphedema. This garment can also be used as a nighttime garment, providing continual compression therapy for your arm, moving lymph while you sleep or rest.
FOAM CHIP THERAPY
Compression garments with foam chips, such as the Sigvaris Chipsleeve, provide a gentle lymphatic massage all night. The foam pressed into the affected area creates tissue stretch and pressure differentials. This action encourages the re-absorption of lymphatic fluid. The Sigvaris Chipsleeve features open cells, and chipped foam to massage fibrotic tissue, stimulating fluid movement and helping to soften superficial tissue. Use as a bandage liner in the decongestive phase of lymphedema treatment or as an independent compression garment for nighttime use – or while relaxing at home.
FULL COVERAGE
This compression garment gives you full coverage, benefiting your entire arm. It comes up high on the axilla and covers the end of the fingers with a separation for the thumb. In addition, the moisture-wicking fabric has unique stretch characteristics, which provide form-fitting comfort.
MOVING LYMPH WHILE YOU SLEEP
In many cases, nighttime compression garments have demonstrated improved control of edema and lymphedema. Direction channels on this garment facilitate efficient lymph drainage, moving lymphatic fluid while you sleep or rest. Those who feel that their daytime garments are not adequately addressing their lymphedema might benefit greatly by using such a nighttime garment. Speak to your healthcare professional about using nighttime garments to help manage your lymphedema.
OVERSLEEVE AND LINER
Sigvaris Chipsleeve comes with an Oversleeve to help push the foam chips in and provide effective therapy while you sleep. This Oversleeve, used in tandem with the Chipsleeve, provides moderate gradient compression of 15-25 mmHg. The sleeve also comes with two cotton liners. Use the liners under the Chipsleeve to protect the garment from dirt and oils in the skin.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Sigvaris Chipsleeve is simple and easy to care for. If you use the cotton liners, the Chipsleeve will not need to be laundered as often. Wash cotton liners after each use. Liners are made of 100% cotton and have no compression; therefore, wash as you would any cotton material. Wash Chipsleeve and the Oversleeve in the machine on a gentle cycle using mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Dry the Chipsleeve in the dryer on low heat to help fluff up the foam chips in the sleeve. The Oversleeve can be hung to dry.

I’m interested in the leg wrap with renewable Velcro. The one I have, which replaced one like it, has straps that eventually stop sticking because they get fuzz or lint on them.

That would be the Juzo Compression Wrap. I would be happy to help you place that order if you would like to give me a call. 815 342 0370
